Pastor slain

Sad story about the wife who killed her husband and took off with the 3 girls..
When asked why she did it, police wouldn't say.
specifically when they asked if it was infidelity, they said no. However when they asked if it was because of abuse, they had no comment.
Now, I'm not saying that the pastor did anything to his family.. but look at the family photo and tell me what is wrong with the picture. It's pretty obvious..

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) -- Randy Walker swears he would have died
from his diabetes after Hurricane Katrina had a sheriff not seized
two FEMA trucks filled with ice and distributed it to residents,
many of whom had to keep their insulin cold.
Now, that sheriff could be prosecuted on charges of interfering
with a federal operation.
Forrest County Sheriff Billy McGee commandeered two 18-wheelers
full of ice from Camp Shelby, a Federal Emergency Management Agency
staging area, after five days passed with little relief for
residents living without electricity in the wake of the deadly
storm.
"Man, I was wanting to hug Brother Billy when I saw that ice.
We were glad somebody was there to help us," Walker, who would not
give his age, said Wednesday.
McGee had worked out a deal to plead guilty to a misdemeanor
charge of interfering, intimidating and impeding a federal officer,
but U.S. Attorney Dunn Lampton withdrew from the case without
explanation and the Justice Department sent it to federal
prosecutors in Louisiana.
U.S. Attorney David R. Dugas in Baton Rogue, La., said he has
not decided whether to prosecute McGee.
McGee and his attorney declined a request for an interview.
The ice trucks had been sitting idle at Camp Shelby, a National
Guard base just south of Hattiesburg, before the sheriff ordered
them sent to the towns of Petal and Brooklyn on Sept. 4. McGee has
said his deputies detained a National Guard soldier who tried to
interfere.
Residents of Forrest County have circulated a petition in
support of McGee, who has been in office since 1991, and some have
collected money for his defense.
"If it hadn't been for him, I'd be dead right now and I know
that," Walker said. "I'll go to court for him or whatever it
takes. I don't want to let him down as much as he has done for
me."
Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., a critic of the federal
government's response to Katrina, has urged the Justice Department
not to pursue the case.
The congressman said he is "convinced that there's not a jury
in the state of Mississippi that would convict the sheriff for
doing what he did under the circumstances."
Even though Forrest County is some 60 miles inland, the
hurricane downed trees and destroyed roofs, and the power was out
for weeks in much of the area.

Are you F-ing kidding me? the guy moved ICE that was SITTING UNUSED.. and now they are going to prosecute him???
Wouldn't his being the sherrif give him some sort of authority to do so.. it isn't like a private citizen commandeered the truck.. I APPLAUDE billy.. and am now going to send this on to others... perhaps some attention will get this ridiculous charge dismissed.

Kelly Clarkson... As far as I am concerned.. they can have American Idol from here to 2099. Kelly IS the American Idol. Of all the contestants they have had so far, she is by far the most vocally talented. And even though I kind of liked the girl next door look she had goin on.. I have to say she has turned into

I'm baaaaaack

hello blogland!
we pulled into the big rock earlier tonight after a bit of a crazy week.. Everyone in Butter's family seems to be doing ok.. and we left from there to go and visit my parents in Florida and spend a day with "the mouse" we went to the animal kingdom and for dinner we went to mediviel times.. where they do the fighting and jousting and stuff! you have to eat with your hands.. and cheer for a certain color costumed knight.. it was quite fun.. though we ended up spending hours chatting with mom.. we were up till 4 am almost every night catching up.. so we need a vacation from a vacation.. so to speak.
Anyway.. if you get a chance.. fo visit Ross the intern's blog he's quite funny an I am enjoying it tremendously.
I'll check back in this week.. but just wanted everyone to know that all is well under the rock.. peace all

Butter's grandmother died unexpectedly yesterday morning, so we have been busy doing family time.
Butter is sad, but doing ok. Butter's mom is doing ok too..

With everything going on in our country right now.. the release of this movie could prove to be really interesting.. Just reading some of the messages posted on the movie web site shows me that the tide is turning and people are finally starting to see what some of us have been saying all along. This administration cannot be trusted. they can't be trusted with our money, our security, our men and women in service to the country, our homeland security, our disaster response. NOTHING.
There is such a veil of secrecy that surrounds this administration it is a wonder anyone ever trusted them in the first place. The Dubai port sale issue is so utterly ridiculous, one has to wonder why anyone would think that this is a good idea for our country. Not only will they have control of 6 ports in OUR country.. but also 2 ports that deal SPECIFICALLY with military cargo and equipment.. WTF!!??
It is at the very least a slap in the face to anyone who lost family on 9-11, it is yet another slap in the face to our men and women in the military who are fighting for our country "over there" so we don't have to face them "over here" .
How exactly can we be sure that they won't have al queda operatives on the payroll.
Just the other day a letter from Al Queda to the UAE was released saying that they had infiltrated all levels of government over there.. oh yeah georgie boy.. that REALLY makes me feel safe, and that you have properly checked everything out.
So now we have a movie whose tag line is
PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE AFRAID OF THEIR GOVERNMENTS... GOVERNMENTS SHOULD BE AFRAID OF THEIR PEOPLE

If you haven't heard this story yet.. well.. my god what is wrong with this man.




LOUISVILLE - U.S. marshals are stepping up their efforts to track down a man who promised to help his ailing son but skipped town instead. Byron Perkins, 37, was in jail awaiting sentencing after a home invasion to which he pleaded guilty last year. Marshals said Perkins offered to donate a kidney to his son, but when a judge let him out of jail for some medical tests, he took off.

Marshals said they believe Perkins is traveling with his girlfriend, Lea Ann Howard

"Some family members say they were cruising the Internet for Mexico," U.S. Marshal Chuck Gilbert said. "Others say he'd be nearby because of the note he left for his mother and the son. We're just waiting to see, hoping the public will give us tips to lead to him."

Howard also is wanted for taking off after she pleaded guilty in a murder-for-hire plot, WLKY reported. Investigators said the couple last was seen driving in a 1994 bluish-green Ford Crown Victoria with Kentucky license plate 784-BHS.

Anyone with information on the couple is asked to contact police.



This jackass.. I was watching Anderson Cooper 360 and he covered the story.. the best though was when they came out of it to the mug shots and he said "if you have seen these....." then there was a long pause before he said "people"
like he just didn't want to give them that honor.. he just didn't know what to say.. then he said something like "these wonderful people"
How can a father do that ? I just don't understand.. His poor son.. I mean the guy is a criminal, so I am sure he has let his son down before.. but jeeeeez.
